I think I MAY have found my calling!! :)

My mom and grandmother came in town over the past weekend and wanted me to take them "coupon-ing"! Boy did we do some damage!!! They were really excited to see just how much we could save and get for free!! Well, let's just say I didn't dissappoint them!!
I won't go through all the details on how we got everything, but here is SOME of the stuff I can think of that we got...
24 - 4 pack Cottonelle toilet paper, 10 bags Beggin Strips dog treats, 10 boxes Milk Bone dog treats (we all have dogs!), 4 boxes brownie mix, 14 cake frostings, 14 bags cookie mix, 10 BIG (20 oz) bags Hersheys chocolates (NOT Valentine's ones), 4 coffee creamers, 2 tubs butter, 8-6 packs juicy juice drinks, 8 Herbal Essence shampoos, 12 Suave body washes, 6 Gillette shampoos, 4 Fusion razors, 20 packs Gilette Mach 3 razors, 10-20 packs Schick razors, 4 Black Rice products (VERY expensive facial creams), 8-6 packs Boost nutritional drinks, 2-6 packs Glucerna (diabetes) shakes, 2 boxes Glucerna cereal (Grandmother is diabetic), 20 packs round make up remover pads, 6 greeting cards, 6 lysol Neitra air starter kits, several paper towels, 3 boxes Multigrain Cheerios, 4 packs betty crocker brownie delights, 6 tubes toothpaste...and that's all the stuff I can think of off the top of my head, there was tons of other stuff, but I just wanted to give an idea of HOW much we got! So, the grand total for our weekend shopping excursion.....less than $140!!!!! Grand total for value of stuff we got....over $900!! So, on top of all the stuff we got over the weekend, I loaded her up with tons of stuff I already had, body washes, glade scents, soaps, food, etc! They had my mom's trunk AND back seat literally overflowing when they left to go back home!!
It was so incredible to be able to do that with them! My grandmother donates to her church food bank and my mom gives most of it to my sister (with 3 kids, she uses ALL that stuff ALL the time)! Oh, I forgot to mention I also gave my grandmother 3 diabetes monitors and sent 3 to my sister to give to my other grandmother and aunt!! So, when my sister went to my moms last night, she almost passed out when she saw everything!! She could not believe everything we got!! My mom sent pretty much all the stuff home with her and it was GREAT to be able to help everyone out with all these incredible STEALS!! My sister is going to take the Boost shakes to school and give it to a special needs child who drinks them (these things are like $9 a pack and his family doesn't have a lot of money)!! Also, my mom got all the mens razors, shampoo, all kinds of foods, etc and made a VERY nice, HUGE box of stuff to send to my brother at West Point for him and all his army friends to enjoy also!!
I tell you all of that, not to brag about the "good deeds" we did, but just to tell you how blessed I feel to have been given the opportunity to bless others!! When I started doing all this coupon stuff it was for fun and to save a little bit of money for my family. Now that I have learned how useful coupons can be and how much you can bless others less fortunate than yourself with the great deals and freebies also, it is so worth every single minute I spend clipping and organizing!! I loved "paying it forward" to my family! Goodness KNOWS my sister and mom have done some amazing things to help me out when I needed it!!
So, next time you are in a line with someone using coupons, don't laugh or huff because it may take them a little bit longer to check out, smile and know they are probably doing some great things thanks to their "coupon-ing"!!
One more thing I HAVE to mention, in case any of you have CVS near you and want to get in on a GREAT deal this week. I went last night and got 12-12 packs of Coke and Diet Coke AND 4 bars of Neutrogena Facial Soap for less than $20 out of pocket AND walked away with $20 to use next time I am in CVS!!!!! Email me and I'll tell you how I did it!!
I will leave you with my sweet, smiling baby this morning (it is a cell phone picture, so sorry it isn't the best quality!)
