Home for the Holidays!!
We are going home Sweet Home tomorrow for Christmas and I am so excited!! It is Emmie's first Christmas and I can't wait to show her off to all the family and friends (mostly you who read this :) Anyway, I may not post until we get back the week after Christmas, so I just wanted to tell everyone to have a very Merry Christmas and a safe holiday season!! Here are a few pictures I took of Emmie, daddy is trying to make her grow up too fast, he was acting like she was walking and sitting up the other day, it was so funny because she is so tiny still and looks funny "walking"! Thought you would get a kick out of it, also had to show her little Santa onesie, which probably is a boys outfit, but she sleeps in it and it is too funny! I add a bow to try and make it more "girl-y"!! Enjoy!!

Emmie is talking!!
Okay, not really talking, but she started purposely coo-ing today!! I was sitting with her this morning and talking to her and she just starts making these cute little coos and smiling at me!! And, like everyone said, it melted my heart!! She is also starting to interact a lot more with different toys and activities. Last night I was playing with her and this little cow thing that rattles and she kept reaching for it with her hands and feet, she loved it!! It is so fun to watch her start learning the world around her, you can tell she just soaks it all in!! I can't wait to watch her grow every single day!! I will post some pictures of her either tomorrow or the next day!! Hope you all are having a great week!!
Here is a quote I found that is so true and something I try to keep in the back of my mind every day with Emmie...

Update
Just wanted to thank everyone for your sweet messages for Emmie to get better. She is getting better and it seems like it is just a head cold. We have been doing the saline drops, suction, steam in the bathroom and a vaporizer all weekend! They all seem to have helped! She is still congested, but it doesn't seem to have gotten any worse and I am sure it has gotten some better! So, just continue to pray for her. She is actually still just the happiest little baby ever!! Here are some pictures I took of her today, my precious little angel!! Oh, and also, Thank You all for the wonderful gifts, they are so fun to "open" and read!! It's actually almost as fun as real ones, just kidding, it truly IS the thought that counts and I really enjoyed all of them!! You all should add it to your blogs so we can all leave you great gifts!!

Sick......
So, I woke up last night to (one of the worst) things a mother could wake up to...a sick baby! Poor little Emmie was choking on nasty, yucky stuff draining all in her mouth (sorry for TMI:) I got up with her and she wasn't running a fever, but I have have never seen such a tiny baby with so much drainage like she had ! She would cough and then choke, sooo pitiful! Anyway, I called the doctor and he said to give her saline drops and clean her mouth and nose out with the suction-thingy (not sure what else to call it). She DID NOT like that, but it was definitely needed!! Anyway, this morning I did the same thing and still just has horrible, thick stuff like crazy! The doctor said to keep a close eye on her temp. and eating as with her still being so small and a preemie with the respiratory problems she had, we have to be extremely careful not to let ANYthing get too far before bringing her in, if needed. So, I tell you all the gross details hoping someone may have had the same experience with one of your little ones. It was just so wired because up until she woke up last night, literally, not a single sign she was sick, then all of a sudden, all this stuff came out of nowhere. My mom says it could be a sinus infection with her having so much drainage that quickly...I don't know? So, if anyone has any thoughts on it, let me know. Also, just say prayers she gets over this quickly and without any complications, she definitely does not need to get sick at this stage! I took these pictures yesterday, thought you all would enjoy looking at a sweet little angel from heaven.....:)
This is her falling asleep in her swing, she can't quite keep her head from falling forward yet...LOL So, mommy tries "pushing" her head back to keep it from falling off and this is the funny little face she gives me!!
And I end up sleeping like this...
These are just some more cute pictures I took yesterday....
And last, but not least...I thought I'd show you a little bit of Mini-Michelle coming out in Emmie ALREADY!! She is learning very quickly when she gets mad, she lets me know!! I put her in the Boppy next to me on the couch so I could try and eat some lunch and little Miss Emmie didn't think Mommy needed lunch as much as she needed to hold her!! LOL The lighting is bad, sorry, but you can hear her "mad" cry.....and see her pouty lip...and see how she is pushing herself back on her legs and throwing her head around (Okay, maybe that part she can't help much :) And don't EVEN say "Bless Her Heart" because she is held 23/7...LOL Just Kidding, I say it too!!

Growing Tooo Fast!
Just wanted to update evryone on Emmie! After Julie's comment on how she looks like she is filling out, I thought I would weigh her this morning and measure her (my mom bought us some professional baby scales which are in sync with my doctor's). She weighs a whopping 8 lbs 15 oz. and is 22 inches long!! She is getting SOOO big SOOOO fast! I can't believe how big she is growing! She is definitely filling out nicely and has the cutest little rolls starting to form!! She is starting to eat better also (she has never been a good eater) and I know by Christmas she will be a 10 pounder!! She grows every single day!! I think she is storing most of it in her cheeks, though...not sure how much more they can hold!!LOL

Christmas Photos!
I tried taking some Christmas pictures of Emmie this weekend and thought I would share them. I tried to do "professional" looking pictures with a set-up and everything, using some tips my sister has taught me, but I am no where NEAR as good as she is nor do I have a great camera like hers, but they turned out fairly decent I think!! I also took Emmie to see Santa and got some really good pictures!! Enjoy!
